Welcome to Lost Vessel - currently in pre-launch early access through Steam Next Fest.
You have full game access ahead of the official Steam release. This is a solo passion project and my first time building a game, so expect rough edges, bugs, and things that may change before launch. Nothing is final yet.
Your feedback shapes what ships at launch, and what comes after. Thank you for being here early.
Welcome, Survivor. This is your first launch via Steam.
Choose how to start:

If you found us through Steam Next Fest - welcome to Lost Vessel. The demo is the full game, and your save travels with you across Steam and the browser, so you can pick up anywhere.
There's a festival reward track for everyone: play on the Steam client and your connected playtime unlocks three permanent cosmetics - a profile Title at 2h, an exclusive profile Background at 8h, and a name Glow in chat at 20h. Claim each from the Next Fest card on the top bar.
Veterans - this is the week to play on Steam. Connected playtime during Next Fest is what pushes Lost Vessel up the charts where new survivors can find us, so every hour on the Steam client genuinely helps the launch land. And you earn the cosmetics while you're at it.
Enemies in each zone now have a signature status they can apply when they hit you. Status icons appear under the HP bars with a countdown.
Statuses last only for the current fight — they clear when the enemy dies or you die.
Rare, Epic, and Legendary equipment now rolls extra random stats called affixes on top of their base values.
Weapons roll offensive stats — status apply chances, crit chance, double loot, ammo saver.
Armor rolls defensive stats — status resists, HP regen per second, damage reduction, DR vs DoTs.
Your existing gear: every Rare, Epic, and Legendary item you already own — equipped or in inventory — has been automatically rolled with affixes appropriate to its tier and rarity. You didn't have to do anything.
Rare → Epic upgrades now require 2 Rare items (was 1). Other materials are unchanged. The change reflects how much more valuable Epic gear has become with affixes attached.
Every forge result reveals its rolled affixes in the combat log — you'll see immediately what you got.
The expanded DETAILS panel now shows your effective totals across all sources — augments, masteries, implants, and gear affixes combined:
